Why do runners get injured?

I think this is one of the most misunderstood things I see. There are all kinds of false promises out there like 3 exercises to bulletproof your knees, or how all your pain comes down to your form or footwear. In reality it isCa often multifactor and we will assess each and every one and wade through what actually works and what doesn’t.

Can strength training reduce running injuries

Yes strength training can make us more resilient and improve our bodies load capacity, but it has to be part of a good, structured training program to really make a difference. I understand both sides of this and can help you build your program.

Do I need to stop running if I am injured?

Most of the time no, and this is my goal but there are certain injuries or circumstances that will require a break from running to set you up for success.

Can physical therapy improve running performance?

Running performance is something that is built over time. The best way to improve is to stay injury free and be consistent and that is something PT can definitely help with.
