Orthopedic Physical Therapy in Nampa, Idaho

Physical Therapy for Knee, Shoulder, Hip, Back & Other Orthopedic Conditions

Knee pain, shoulder pain, back pain, hip problems and other orthopedic conditions can make it harder to work, exercise, sleep, or enjoy the activities you normally do.

At Habits Physical Therapy, I provide one-on-one orthopedic physical therapy for adults with pain, injuries, mobility limitations and post-operative needs. Treatment is focused on helping you move better, build strength and progressively return to the activities that matter to you.

You work directly with a physical therapist throughout your visit — not an aide or a series of generic exercises. Your treatment is adjusted based on how you're responding and what you need to be able to do.

You don't need to know exactly what's wrong before you come in. We'll evaluate the problem and determine whether physical therapy is appropriate.

Knee Pain & Knee Injuries

Knee pain can develop from an injury, overuse, arthritis, changes in activity, or problems that gradually develop over time. Physical therapy can help you understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and determine how to safely build your capacity again.

Habits Physical Therapy works with those experiencing a wide range of knee problems, from everyday knee pain to sports injuries and recovery after surgery.

Common knee conditions include:

• Patellofemoral pain
• Knee osteoarthritis
• Meniscus injuries
• ACL and other ligament injuries
• Patellar and quadriceps tendon problems
• Knee stiffness and mobility limitations
• Knee replacement rehabilitation
• Post-operative knee rehabilitation

Treatment may focus on restoring comfortable movement, improving strength and control, and progressively increasing the amount of activity your knee can tolerate.

Shoulder Pain & Shoulder Injuries

Shoulder pain can make reaching, lifting, sleeping, exercising, and everyday activities difficult. Shoulder problems can develop gradually or occur after an injury, and different shoulder conditions often require different approaches to rehabilitation.

Habits Physical Therapy works with adults experiencing a variety of shoulder problems, from persistent shoulder pain to recovery after orthopedic surgery.

Common shoulder conditions include:

• Rotator cuff-related shoulder pain
• Rotator cuff tendinopathy
• Shoulder impingement
• Frozen shoulder
• Shoulder instability
• Labral injuries
• Shoulder arthritis
• Rotator cuff repair rehabilitation
• Shoulder replacement rehabilitation
• Other post-operative shoulder conditions

Treatment may include restoring shoulder mobility, improving strength and coordination, addressing the demands that aggravate your symptoms, and progressively rebuilding your ability to use your shoulder.

The goal is not simply to get you through a list of exercises. Your rehabilitation should progress toward the activities you actually need and want to perform.

Hip Pain & Hip Injuries

Hip pain can affect walking, climbing stairs, getting in and out of a car, squatting, exercising, or simply getting through the day comfortably. Hip problems may develop gradually, follow an injury, or occur as part of the normal progression of joint conditions such as arthritis.

Habits Physical Therapy works with adults experiencing a variety of hip and hip-related problems, including:

• Hip osteoarthritis
• Hip and groin pain
• Hip tendinopathy
• Muscle strains
• Hip mobility limitations
• Hip weakness and strength deficits
• Hip replacement rehabilitation
• Post-operative hip rehabilitation

Treatment may focus on improving mobility, restoring strength, and gradually increasing your ability to tolerate the activities that are important to you.

Rather than treating the hip in isolation, your evaluation considers how the hip, pelvis, spine, and lower extremity work together during the movements and activities that reproduce your symptoms.
